SOAP MAKING WORKSHOP

Learn how to make all natural handmade soap. Don't confuse this with "melt and pour soap". We will be crafting homemade soap using natural and organic ingredients including pure essential oils. You will leave this class with the following:

~ Working knowledge of creating handmade soap

~ Detailed Instruction Packet

~ Recipes and concise instruction sheet for simplicity

~ Resources list for suppliers, manufacturers and reading material

~ Several bars of soap

~ Hand-crafted wooden box to take home so that you can begin making soap for family and friends!

Cost: $40 per person (plus $25 materials fee paid to instructor the day of the workshop)

Creating Magical Dream Pillows

Come join Karen Lacharite in a fun and inspiring class on how to make an Herbal Dream Pillow! These soft, dreamy, flower filled pillows are just the thing to lie your head upon at the end of a long day.

Autumn is the time to nestle in to the comforts of hearth and home. It is also the time on the Wheel of the Year of the dreamtime, the time when the energy of bear medicine pulls us into the cave of ourselves for rest, healing and transformation.

You will get a chance to play with aromatic and beautiful herbs and flowers to create a dream pillow blend that is just right for you! We will spend a short time infusing our pillows with the special dreams we hope to manifest from deep within ourselves and in asking our guides to speak to us through clear and magical dreams!

You will leave with a beautiful, magical, herbal dream pillow and the skills to create more of these special items for loved ones as gifts for the upcoming holiday season. In addition, you will also be given a delicious herbal dream tea blend and a bottle of Deep Sleep dreaming tincture from Ancient Fire Botanicals, Karen’s home herbal business.

Ginger Honey - 2 oz. jars of local honey that has been infused with organic fresh ginger. Great to add to your tea, give as a gift, or have on hand for that special occassion. ($6.00)

Hand Made Natural Soap - 4oz bars. Assortment of all natural handmade soap made using all vegetable based oils and only pure essential oils. This soap smell wonderful, lathers great and is good for all skin conditions. Anyone who has bought my soap swears to never go back to commercial soap!! ($4 per bar)

Pure Vanilla Extract - 2 oz bottles of pure vanilla extract. Whole vanilla beans are extracted in brandy for a minimum of 6 weeks. The flavor is unbelievable!! Great for baking, cooking or flavoring. So much more potent that store bought vanilla extract!! Each bottle has a bean inside so that it continues to extract as it sits on your shelf! ($6 per bottle)

Herbal Extracts (Tinctures) - fresh or dried organic plant material extracted in alcohol to bring forth their healing properties.
