Hi Karen
Thank you so much for the amazing experience! That is, with out a doubt, one of the coolest things I have ever done….
I have had some time to reflect on it for the past two weeks, and I have thought about it a lot. Paganism is still new to me, but I am viewing the fire walk as my true starting point on my path.
I never did say something as I stood at the fire’s edge. Despite that, there was a lot going on inside my head (all good). "This statement came to me before the walk, and I think it symbolizes why I do what I do; "And unto all things invoke the primitive." Et caveat "unless it’s a bad idea." Please forgive my potentially butchered Latin, but it just felt right.
Now firmly placed on my pagan path I feel ready to face the world and all that it has to offer. Part of this is due to the guidance and experience on that Saturday night under a star lit sky.
Oh just one more thing, I am working on make fire without matches. I have not been successful yet but I am working on it. I think initiating the sacred fire with the two-stick method would be a very cool way to set things a-light, n’est pas? (Please forgive my poor French as well)
Again thank you for a fantastic night! I won’t forget it. I’ll keep you posted on my progress on the path, and on fire without matches. I hope all is well with you and yours, and that the coming season brings you bounty.
Blessed be
John F

"For what shifted for me, this walk rivals the 1 with Peggy that was open to the community after the first week of your training and the 40 foot one at the end of training. I shifted a lot on those 2 fires, but in comparing, it's like those 2 walks were like moving things on a shelf to dust, them replacing them in a new order, and this walk was like spring cleaning...cleaning under the beds, washing the drapes, doing the change-of-season wardrobe switch, etc. This was a very powerful walk for me.
Also, Herman" really liked how you facilitated and has told EVERYONE I heard him talk to about how good you were as a facilitator and how well done the whole event was"
"I most DEFINITELY would recommend you"

Thank You Karen
It was a wonderfully catalytic experience. I had the honor of tending the fire while others attended the workshop. I wasn't tending it alone...the Fire Sprites and Fire Flies kept me company.
My work had to deal with boundaries. I thought it was boundaries between worlds so I could better connect with ancestors, and there was some success with that.
I found the true boundaries that needed to be worked upon were the ones within myself. The limitations I set upon myself being too rigid and impatient. I've mentally and physically pushed myself to the point of illness and injury because of my "I can handle it" attitude.
The ones I set between myself and others that, too often, are overly fluid. It's my nature to not want to hurt someone's feelings by telling them "No". Instead the answer has been "Oh sure" or "That's fine" with the end result being my feeling like a pushover.
I realized I have the right....and the responsibility to myself to say no on occasion.

Hey Karen...
Just wanted to say thanks again for the great Fire-Walk experience on Saturday! It was performed very respectfully, yet with a casual and fun mood! You have a great way of gently nudging people to push past their previously limiting beliefs, yet without making them feel any undo pressure. I loved the way that you explained that, whether or not you walked across the coals, just by showing up and experiencing the workshop, growth had already occurred.
Sincerely,
Mark Daniels

Hey Everyone,
I do believe that the Instructor is the one who sets the atmosphere and Karen shows nothing but Kindness, Encouragement and Space allowing All to take their
own course which truly makes this Firewalk a catalyst for anyone who desires to move forward in their personal as well as spiritual life.

I agree wholeheartedly about the transformational effects of
Firewalking...but even more I'd like to take the opportunity to speak about Karen as a facilitator.
I walked fire with Karen at Spring Equinox and she is truly amazing. She creates such a safe and supportive space...both at the fire and in the breakthrough activities. I struggled with breaking through in a particular area, but with Karen's help I was able to conquer what I was holding onto. I think the most important thing she did was to remind me that it isn't about
force and pushing your way through your issues...but actually allowing yourself to "flow". And also to remember that there is ALWAYS another way! Despite my initial inability to break a board, I never at any time felt a failure or inadequate...with Karen or the rest of the group. I did go on to accomplish it...but it wasn't a condition or expectation.
It was truly and amazing experience for me and I am a different person for the time with Karen!!!
Blessings,
Kali

Greetings
I attended one of Karen's Fire Walks a couple of years ago, actually about 3 months after Eric died my friend Pam dragged me off to one. I expected it to be something like you see in National Geographic...boy was I mistaken.
Karen's break through exercises had quite amazing results for me, I still have my board and arrow as reminders of what I'm able to do when I put my mind to it and face my fears. The greatest break through I had was during the exercise with
a ladder. I got over a lifelong fear with that one.
By the time we were done and headed to the fire I felt like...sure, why not! and I shucked off my shoes and toddled across glowing coals without any doubts or fears. It seemed like the natural thing to do after all the exercises. The coals
felt like stones that had warmed in the sun for a short time.
I remember there were a number of people there and many were facing lifelong fears or traumas. Each person had exercises that seemed easy to them and each had tasks they couldn't break through and that was OK. It's a combined learning & healing process and we all learn and heal in different ways and at the pace that is right for each individual.
The greatest lesson I took away was that if I can overcome, even a little bit, some of my issues and fears enough to have an arrow at my throat and walk on glowing coals then I certainly have enough strength and courage within to get me through.
I hope to see you Saturday. You have nothing to loose except the fears that hold you back. Face them and free yourself.

Hi Karen,
Thank you for a wonderful experience Saturday night. What inspiring visuals I have and will always have!! You did a fabulous job at creating such positive energy of strength and trust.
Believe it or not, I am still processing all the events that happened. I am somewhat in awe of the things that I did. If I wasn't there, I don't know if I would believe it!!"
With gratitude,
Cheryl

"What I loved most about this workshop was that we were given the opportunity to truly push ourselves out of our comfort zones in a way that lodged deeply in my body. Walking the fire to the sounds of tribal drumming, under the brilliant, night sky was beautiful, transformative and healing for me."

"Your high energy connection and knowledge to the spiritual journey of the Fire walk filled all of us with a comfort that otherwise for many are more apt to guard and hide. Your guidance and assistance showed each of us to spread our wings and fly, which is easy to do after you shed the fears and barriers we’ve all had subjected on us in life. This training and journey goes beyond the spiritual elevation which each of us climbed that night. It goes into your daily routine in life. Breaking through bad habits that created barriers and un-natural fears in us to make us sick. I am still finding my body teaching me everyday to rid the things which are vile to us all. The truth is in the awareness and understanding, “your body does not forget”. So I pray you will continue to share your energy and knowledge as a guide in the fire walks, as you have great work to do, touching one person at a time, as above so below"

"Wow! What a powerful workshop!
This really got me in touch with my `will` for sure. Its a personal test of challenge, will, faith, personal power and so much more than words can say. Scary...yes, but its the truth of believing in yourself, who you are and what you want to bring into your life and the life of others, along with the sense of community, that gives you the strength for the tests and walking the sacred fire.
Thank you Karen for this amazing workshop!"

"I have never had such a positive experience in my life. The whole workshop was amazing. It started with a positive chant led by Karen. The energy from the group was amazing. Karen told us to step outside our comfort zone and push ourselves, and I did. It was so wonderful, and finding out how much inner strength I have was uplifting and freeing. I feel that I have gained friends from this experience, as the group I attended with was great! All the positive reinforcement helped with achieving goals through the different tasks the workshop provided. Seamus was wonderful on the drums and provided a great rhythm to the evening.
Crossing the coals and going towards my goal was an experience I'll keep with me forever.
I am really looking forward to joining you for another Firewalk.
Thank you Karen for this wonderful experience.
I also want to thank Misty Meadows for providing a beautiful environment and for hosting the Firewalk. It was utterly amazing and made me feel high on life!"
I can do anything now!

"Your fire walking workshop I attended a few weeks ago was a powerful event in my life. I continue to reap the benefits of the intentions I set forth that night. Thanks for being a positive force in the universe."

"I need to come out (and drag Claire with me).
I have walked on fire.
Last weekend I traveled down to Lee, NH and attended an evening workshop which culminated with both Claire and I walking across a bed of hot coals, not once but three times each.
It was an evening spent looking at what holds each of us back, and discovering that with group support and inner focus we could do things we thought impossible. We broke boards with our hands, and bent rebar between the two of us, all in preparation for fire walking. We looked at our fears. We set intentions of what we want in our lives. And we transformed from 20 people attending an evening seminar to a team supporting each other through feats which frightened each us.
What I took away from this and have been playing with this week is: that what often holds me back from being my own best self are my own fears. It is a very liberating thought that if I give up even some of my fear I can accomplish amazing things." ... excerpt from article written for the Auburn, Maine Unitarian Universalist Church newsletter.

"I keep my split board and broken arrow displayed right at my bedroom door, a proud reminder of my transformation last year. I am happy to let you know that the changes have stuck and i have been living a most joyful and loving life this year, "embracing the fullness of my life" <---that was the name tag i received at your Break-Through ceremony, and i have it stuck to the outside of my bedroom door, like a child puts there name on a door. i have been feeling rather like a child this year, being so new in such tremendous healing. It is amazing, and i wake up each day eager to learn what the universe has in store for me.".

"Hi Karen!
Lee P here! Just want to thank you for such an incredible, empowering night last evening. Your personal energy and zest for both life and the fire is contagious and so important to the exercises. The group's energy couldn't help but rise to a feverish level! "

"We moved to Pennsylvania to live/work on a farm - in short, we have made radical and dramatic changes in our lives. I attribute a lot of my new inner fire to my experience in your workshop. YOU are a firewalking goddess!! The way you midwife people through such powerful challenges is awesome! I am so grateful to you for the work you do with your workshops.
The intentions that I identified and set forth at the workshop were all related to overcoming the doubt (in large part, the voice of my mother) and fear of failure hindering me and preventing me from stepping into my true power and fulfilling my real aspirations. I have come to own my fearless nature, to believe in my courage, and move forward with much greater confidence after the firewalk. I really brought the fire deep into my belly (my psychic belly, as well as my physical belly) and it continues to burn, controlled but strong and hot.
I learned the very poignant lesson of living in the moment in a new and different way. Since the firewalk I have been able to be more present in the now, more often, and more consistently- instead of setting my sights on the future and working up to things, I have been able to say "The here and now are looking very good, and if we can make it better, let's do it!!" and then make the move.
As an aside, I had already begun a trend in better health and weight loss before the firewalk... but I was struggling with releasing a few extra pounds on my physical body, which seemed to be related to the need for psychic protection (my self analysis... but seems to make sense to my polarity therapist friend) and I was able to shed another 20 lbs since the firewalk with no exercise, (besides keeping up with my two little girls) and very little modification of my diet. I think the experience contributed greatly to strengthening my auric field, not that I know very much about auras, but walking on fire has to be good for them, right?? And it helped me let go of the extra pounds because I didn't need them to feel safe. I just felt really brave and capable and courageous... and enthusiastic to tackle the next thing I wanted to accomplish.
The alchemy of firewalking is potent magic!
I hope I have said something halfway sensible, here. I have so many things going on in life at the moment, and I had wanted to write to you and tell you how significant and wonderful the firewalk was for me, but I hadn't found the opportunity to do it until now.
I look forward to seeing you again and participating in another firewalk as soon as the opportunity presents itself to me.
Your friend in peace,
~ Danielle"
